The furnishings and finishes were nice, but those were not proper rooms. It was in a back corner, way too small, no view at all, bed was hard and slanted. It was by far the worst hotel room experience we had while in Switzerland. We were very uncomfortable and could not wait to leave. Rooms 211 and 212. Not peaceful.

We loved our stay at the hotel des balances! From the location in the old town district to the incredible views from our private balcony of the river and chapel bridge, we loved our stay. Breakfast was a highlight of our trip, and we thoroughly enjoyed the buffet with unparalleled views right on the river. It was magical!

The room we stayed in was very small but the view out our window and small balcony made it all worthwhile. The staff were all very nice and helpful. The hotel is beautiful and located in a great spot. I would stay here again if I was ever in Lucerne again.

One of the best on this journey. Location perfect. Hotel was beautiful and comfortable. The staff extremely friendly and very helpful for our needs. Our train to Milan was cancelled and the front desk immediately provided us with alternative transportation . Even the driver: John was great! We enjoyed the bar and restaurant, The entire staff was wonderful. Patrick made us feel welcomed. He is special! Great hotel!

We had a magical time at Hotel Des Balances! The welcome beverage and caramels were such an elegant touch. The nightly turn down service with chocolates were such a cherry on top to a great stay. The room amenities were fantastic - it was so nice to enjoy a coffee each morning. While we wish there had been a workout facility, the hall ice and water machines were very appreciated for people who are used to drinking water all day long! One of our best hotel stays!

The feeling is that you thought about everything for your guests and the employees and service providers are their for the guests. If and when we return we will not take a room with a step at the entrance- see our comment above. Maybe you should give a short explanation about the shower and guest card - we couldnt open it and found out on the last day that it can enable free rides. All your ideas are wonderful and you obviously put a lot of effort into making your guests feel good and happy
