I absolutely loved our stay. My husband and I were just commenting and it was the most comfortable bed weâve ever slept on while traveling. The view from our room was beautiful. The only thing I wouldâve liked tomorrow is to have a balcony.

River view is superb. Great location. Everything is nice but the AC in one of the room doesn't work as it should be. The fan helps but too noisy. Double room is on the small side just enough to open two suitcases. Overall is nice!

Nous adorons l'hÃ´tel des balances oÃ¹ nous revenons. Une remarque; cette annÃ©e je n'ai pas pris de petit dÃ©jeuner Ã l'hÃ´tel car le temps Ã©tait relativement frais et le matin toutes les portes Ã©taient ouvertes. A mon sens il faisait trop froids dans la (jolie) salle de restaurant pour y petit-dÃ©jeuner agrÃ©ablement. Question d'habitude probablement votre clientÃ¨le est apparemment moins frileuse que moi (ma femme ne petit dÃ©jeune pas). Nous avons dÃ®nÃ© trois fois au restaurant dont deux fois aprÃ¨s concert. Formidable, trÃ¨s agrÃ©ables (et Ã bonne tempÃ©rature).

Kind and attentive. When we needed a fan for part of the room that the AC did not reach very well (it was unusually hot in Lucerne when we visited), someone brought one immediately. The bartender gave excellent tips on hiking Mount Pilatus.

The construction outside of my room woke me up in the mornings. It begin before 8 AM which I think is unacceptable. For travelers is the most important thing is getting a good night sleep and I think that there should not be any construction that begins before 8

The bathroom for a master is extremely small. It would be nice if there were some shelves or a little bit more area. Extremely hard to put on make up and get dressed in that tiny bathroom.

Very good service and extremely clean hotel. Great location. We always stay with you when we are over. But the separated tables at my birthday dinner was a shame. I could see a solution would have made it easily possible to sear 10 at the same table on the balcony.

The only criticism I had was that for my birthday dinner it would have been possible for the 10 of us to sit together if one two person table had been moved. There was ample space inside not being used to seat 2 people inside. Given 8 of us were staying at hÃ´tel for several nights I found this lack of flexibility unfortunate. The dinner on two tables did not work at all and I would not do it again.

I would like to thank the ladies in reception for helping my daughter and myself out of a desperate situation. We were booked in to another hotel by a travel agent . When we arrived we were shocked and disappointed at the standard of the hotel. Once we saw our room we knew we could not stay there even though the room was pre paid. It was more like a dormitory from a boarding school..no space and bare and no air conditioning. My daughter was still feeling the effects of jet lag and at 34C it made things worse for her . We rang Hotel des Balances and they kindly offered us a room saving our lives!!! Many thanks . We loved our stay .

Shower water, esp hot water, is weak and flow inconsistent. Disturbing sudden change in water temperature during shower. Some Fixtures in room and bathroom are aging. One of the blankets had old blood stains, and some of the towels had old stains. All changed promptly but that shouldn't happen in the first place

Dear Sir/Madam, We were scheduled to stay at your hotel recently, but due to an unexpected illness, we were unfortunately unable to come. I informed you about this by email, but to this day I have not received any response. I followed up with a second email, which also went unanswered. To my surprise, I have now received an email asking me to leave a review of our stay. This feels quite strange, as we never actually stayed at your hotel. I find it very disappointing that there has been no response to my messages. The complete lack of communication makes me feel that our absence went unnoticed and that service and communication are clearly not a priority at your establishment.
