One of the best on this journey. Location perfect. Hotel was beautiful and comfortable. The staff extremely friendly and very helpful for our needs. Our train to Milan was cancelled and the front desk immediately provided us with alternative transportation . Even the driver: John was great! We enjoyed the bar and restaurant, The entire staff was wonderful. Patrick made us feel welcomed. He is special! Great hotel!

We had a magical time at Hotel Des Balances! The welcome beverage and caramels were such an elegant touch. The nightly turn down service with chocolates were such a cherry on top to a great stay. The room amenities were fantastic - it was so nice to enjoy a coffee each morning. While we wish there had been a workout facility, the hall ice and water machines were very appreciated for people who are used to drinking water all day long! One of our best hotel stays!

The feeling is that you thought about everything for your guests and the employees and service providers are their for the guests. If and when we return we will not take a room with a step at the entrance- see our comment above. Maybe you should give a short explanation about the shower and guest card - we couldnt open it and found out on the last day that it can enable free rides. All your ideas are wonderful and you obviously put a lot of effort into making your guests feel good and happy

This is a lovely hotel in the perfect location. We were happy to have a room with a view of the river directly across from the beautiful Jesuit church on the opposite side. We could also see the Chapel Bridge and the mountains in the background (on sunny days).

We loved the place. Our room (500) was fabulous. The terrace/restaurant/bar was gorgeous. The location was perfect. I had concerns about navigating the pedestrian zone, but the directions and the valet parking were excellent. The best thing, though, was the staff.

Practically everyone was really lovely. But the blonde, male waiter on Sunday morning was not. There was a table for 2 free at the window so I went to sit down. He rushed over and asked 'Can't you read? This is reserved' and pointed to the tiny card I had missed. Firstly, this was incredibly rude. Secondly, how was someone able to reserve a breakfast table? Thirdly, no one sat there before we finished breakfast. He should be reprimanded. Staff in restaurant and reception seemed to change each day.

It was a little tight, but the drawer and closet space was very good and allowed us to unpack completely during our stay. Of course we loved our view of the lake and church and it was a plus having a little balcony we could sit on and have coffee in the morning. A wonderful experience!
